This page explains exactly what data we collect on this website, why we collect it, where it goes, and how to ask us to delete it. We try to keep this short and free of legal padding.

What we collect

When you use the calculator

Nothing personal. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and we don't log your inputs, your IP, or anything else when you adjust sliders.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. Plausible is a cookieless analytics service that does not collect personal data and does not track visitors across sites.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by their advertising policies.

How we use it

• To improve the calculator and the city pages by reviewing aggregated, non-personal analytics from Plausible;
• To serve relevant ads via Google AdSense — see the section above for opt-out options.

We don't sell your data. We don't collect personal information for marketing purposes.

Where it's stored

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may process request data (IP address, user agent) in the course of serving pages. Plausible processes anonymized analytics events. Google processes ad-serving data per its own policies linked above.

Your rights

Under Canadian PIPEDA and Ontario law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we don't collect personal information through this site directly, in most cases there will be nothing for us to access or delete — but if you have a question about your data, the contact below is the right starting point.
